15 Jul – Kimberley

15 July 2017

These guys had such a great trip last year that they booked to do it again. It is a perfect time of year to escape the winter down south and visit the Kimberley for its beautiful warm days and that is exactly what they had. Our weather was perfect. They are all very keen anglers as well and especially like to consume what they catch.

We get quite spoilt up here with the quality of fish we are able to present throughout our charters. We get to enjoy some of the freshest and best eating table fish available. Our personal favourite is Threadfin Salmon, a beautiful white flesh fish with an amazing delicate taste and texture. One day we had a taste text between a trio of other great fish, Cod, Mulloway and Finger Mark, it was hard to pick the differences and everyone had their own preferences but everyone agreed to the fact that they were all top class. Then we have our Barramundi, wild caught which is quite different to the farmed product you often get in restaurants and fish mongers.

To top off all the fish we also enjoyed a great feed of Kimberley Black Lipped Oysters. The only thing we missed out on was we didn’t get the chance to go mud crabbing this time. Oh well there is always next year because they are coming back again.
