13 Aug – Rowley Shoals

13 August 2018

We can’t explain how nice it was to get back out to the crystal clear blue water of Rowley Shoals again. Kevin, Rohan, Rob, Chris, Geoff & Ross joined us for our first trip out for this year and it was great to see nothing had changed. These guys are all involved in the Gold mining industry so it wasn’t surprising that gold coloured lures were quite popular.

In fact one particular Gold Lure was very successful in providing a good number of Yellowfin Tuna which we enjoyed eating in many styles. Sashimi I think being the favourite. Sailfish were around in great numbers with pods of fish coming into the spread.

Popper fishing also produced some great fish including Humphead Maori Wrasse, Red Bass, Trout and a GT.
